Health website

Problem

A large clinic for chiropractic requested a new website where patients can get expert advice on symptoms, conditions, find exercises that can reduce the pains and improve the health and wellbeing, pre- and post-treatments.

Solution

The website project has not been completed yet. It is still in working progress.

My role

I am responsible for the UX research, UX design, UI design, prototyping, meeting with stakeholders, their staff and the patients.

Overview

The website is a redesign of a large hand-coded website, I coded many years ago. The new website will be designed after mobile-first design principles, as over 50% of the visitors view their website via mobile devices. The site will be used nationally, and patients will be able to find information about symptoms, conditions and treatments in the field of chiropractic.

Empathize with Users

To get the best research data I used both quantitative and qualitative research methods, such as interviews, competitor benchmarking, surveys and analytics.

As the staff at the clinic are busy I do not have the opportunity to communicate with the stakeholders often. I held a few meetings with the stakeholders, interviewed the staff, and used Google Analytics. Moreover, I created online surveys and surveys for the patients to fill out in the waiting room.
From the research data I created personas, user stories, user journey, flow charts and user flows.
